A new book

Picture
Wonderful day!  I received my copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: An edition printed in the Shaw Alphabet in the mail!  This book was put together by Thomas Thurman with some beautiful Shavian fonts by Michael Everson!  You can find it on Amazon at the link above.  I am excited about plunking down on the couch with a cup a tea and reading it cover to cover.  The book is a pleasure to hold and beautifully formated.  I am giddy to be able to add it to my growing collection of printed Shavian works! :-D
Thank you Thomas Thurman!!

Fantastic, nice to see old Shaw's alphabet getting used. Why would you, well why not? It's interesting to read in a more fitting alphabet XD
I really like the Harry Potter book, have you tried speaking to the Rowling estate, and whoever owns the book rights and making this version? Try adding something new, like that wicked owl art on the other HP Shavian covers :)

Hello Kefka,

I'm glad you are enjoying the site! I get a kick out of reading my favorite books in Shavian and actually have done rough draft transliterations of the first and second Harry Potter books. Unfortunately I cannot release them. I didn't think of doing anything with them but once I finish the final draft of the first book I may contact Scholastic (I think they have the rights in the US). Thanks for the idea! :-D

As for the HP covers they are the works of M. S. Corley. I only replaced the Latin Characters with the Shavian Text. Check out his great design at:

Enjoy!
